SunnyDay is an uncovered solar panel, without the glass cover and thermal insulation of conventional solar panels.
SunnyDay is manufactured with a special polypropylene compound using a well established technology.
The product is shaped like a narrow carpet, easy to handle, 7 mm thick and 300mm wide while the length varies according to the model and the application, the lengths range is from 3 metes up to 12 meters. The absorbing surface is about 1 m² each 3 metres of panel length.
SUNNYDAY'S PLUSES:
- Thanks to their simplicity, Sunnyday solar panels have a highly competitive price. Therefore their cost/benefit ratio, for some applications such as indoor swimming pools, is better than conventional panels, also when used all year round.
- Excellent performances in their field of application: whenever the required temperature is not too far from the environment temperature, Sunnyday's performances are higher than that of the covered solar panels.
- Installations of panels that have been exposed to all kinds of weather for 15 years show that Sunnyday is practically indestructible. This reliability is a feature of the particular polypropylene compound, which is not damaged by ultraviolet radiations, maintains its elasticity at –20°C, is insensible to mechanical shocks, hail, and shakes caused by high winds. Moreover Sunnyday is insensible to saltiness and acids.
- SunnyDay is manufactured with materials suitable for contact with food therefore it can heat directly drinkable water,that is approved by the food and beverage industry
- Any flat surface, catching enough sun light, is suitable for installing SunnyDay panels. With added flexibly of different lengths to suit the installation area.
Typical Installation
The water to be heated flows directly in the SunnyDay panels; they can be fed directly from the mains, provided that the pressure is not over 3 bars.
Elimination of heat exchangers allows for cost savings and increased efficiency.
SunnyDay can be rolled out and rewound, with no damage, when storage is required after each season, e.g. in beach resorts, camping sites and temporary installations.
The panel's lightness allows a single person to carry, lay down, and store it. The longest model is 12 m with a surface are 3,7m² weights about 12 kg.
SunnyDay panels are connected side by side in tens of units; special fittings allow to quickly lay out tens or hundreds of square metres. Sunnyday panels are durable flexible and externally efficient.
