Home Building Automation Audio Video & Web
Fancy a movie? Your home theatre is set up in no time. A single remote control unit or a touch screen is used to control all components: screen, lighting, DVD, projector, amplifiers. The only thing you need to do is sit yourself down comfortably and relax.

There is someone at the door or some movement has been detected in the pool area? Vantage alerts you: lights start flashing and the images recorded by the surveillance cameras are displayed on the screen and the DVD is set to pause. You simply press a button, the light comes on slowly and music starts playing softly until you can continue watching.
And as we are talking about music, … Your dear son wants to listen to his favourite radio station in the bath, in the living room the guests are enjoying Vivaldi, the news is on in the kitchen. It's all possible. Vantage controls a high-end audio-distribution system that makes any combination possible.

And what makes it so unique is that 10 years from now your Vantage home automation system will be just as up-to-date. Suppose you later opt for a home theatre with the latest gadgets or new, sophisticated products become available on the market. Vantage closely monitors all technological developments. Upgrades are installed via the software without replacing the hardware. This allows the system to accommodate new facilities and prevents it from becoming obsolete. With Vantage home automation you equip your house with a future proof system.

Today, Vantage Controls has set an unprecidented standard for the home theatre of the new millennium. TheatrePoint integrates the complete home theater into every home automation system.

THEATRE POINT FRONT

1- LCD Screen
TheatrePoint has a small screen and buttons on its face. They are used to test and monitor IR output, relay closure and general system diagnostics. The buttons can also be used for the setup of the current sensing feature.

2 - IR Receiver
With a built-in IR receiver, TheatrePoint can receive IR codes from a Vantage Remote. This allows instant control of any load or device connected to the Vantage System, including 3rd party devices.

3 - IR Channel LED Feedback
This sleek display allows the user to receive a visual confirmation when an IR signal is sent. Each of the 12 IR parts on the back of the unit has a corresponding LED on the front which lights up to indicate signal transmissions.

4 - RS-232 LED feedback
With integration, it is imperative for the installer to always know when RS-232 strings are sent or received. This front display LED eliminates the guesswork by lighting up when strings come in or go out.

5 - Station Bus Connection
TheatrePoint offers immediate access to the Vantage system. Behind the logo is a quick connection to the simple, yet powerful, two-wire Vantage station bus. This connection provides the convenience of in-room modifications to system programming.

6 - Surge Protection
The “reset” switch allows the user to re-initiate TheatrePoint when a surge has tripped the built-in circuit. This ensures the integrity and protection of TheatrePoint and all devices plugged into it.

THEATRE POINT BACK

1- Standard 120V Plug
TheatrePoint was designed to compliment the home theater by using standard connections and easily fitting in most equipment racks. Like other equipment, it draws its power from a standard 120V AC wall receptacle (also available with 240V AC). No additional wiring is required.

2 - Current Sensors
Power state tracking is an important part of synchronizing equipment with the control system. TheatrePoint (101) features six current sensing plugs to monitor the on/off state of each attached component. With this feature, turning on a stereo receiver could have a programmed response to initiate additional actions on the Vantage system.

3 - Contact Inputs
Contact inputs on the TheatrePoint monitor the state of sensors and closures. With six contact inputs on the 101 model and twelve on the 201, TheatrePoint integrates motion sensors, door sensors, light sensors and can be used in conjunction with SmartLink probes to monitor the on/off state of nearly any device.

4 - Low Voltage Relays
TheatrePoint provides full scene control with six low voltage relays. These send commands to close the blinds, lower the projector and complete any other action on devices that need an on/off command to function.

5 - Infrared Emitters
TheatrePoint can control 12 different A/V devices, each with it’s own unique IR emitter channel. Virtually any device can be controlled with a remote control, can be controlled by Vantage when connected to an IR emitter port

6 - RS-232 Ports
Full -featured two-way communication is easily facilitated with TheatrePoint through two RS-232 ports. Complex commands are sent and received to create the perfect mood for the home theater.

7 – Station Bus
Communication on the Vantage system is done by a simple non-polarized 2-wire bus. Full-featured automation is achieved through the most installer-friendly available today. Programming changes can be made through the station bus connection on either the front or back of TheatrePoint. The station bus can be connected to a Vantage C-Box or Master Controller for Wired or wireless control.

WEB INTEGRATION

THE NEW VANTAGE WEBPOINT™ PROVIDES TOUCH SCREEN AUTOMATION FROM ANY INTERNET DEVICE
Vantage WebPoint™ is the convergence of home networking and home automation. It is the home networking software that finally allows control and programming of full-featured automation from a simple personal digital assistant (PDA), Web pad or personal computer (PC). Until now, integrating a touch screen with a control system has required complicated programming codes in proprietary languages. The options have primarily been very expensive third party products. Now with WebPoint, any network-enabled device can become part of the home control network. Once connected to the network, WebPoint automatically updates itself with current Vantage programming. Within minutes any device on the Vantage system can then be accessed and controlled. This means WebPoint can orchestrate actions on any device that can be controlled by: RS-232, infrared emitters, DMX, high or low voltage, electronic or mechanical relays and variable voltage output. Devices that use these interfaces include virtually all A/V equipment, HVAC equipment, security systems and motorized devices such as drapes, blinds and pumps. http://vantageemea.com/image/AV-wp-img4.jpg WebPoint is an exciting new prospect for the home automation industry. It cuts down on installation time, expands design options and gives the homeowner more freedom to make changes without the fear of altering essential programming. Programming personal preferences can be done without any worries or training. Adjustments that are done using WebPoint could be removed and the Vantage system will continue to function as originally programmed. Adjustments are made by simply moving a slider or changing the state of an on/off switch. Once the scene has been set to the desired levels it can be saved as a macro. Then any time in the future that the macro button is pressed all of the desired components will adjust to the saved preferences. Compared to other interfaces, WebPoint meets and exceeds expectations. Any size home can integrate the WebPoint functionality and include up to 32 Web devices on one Vantage system. Other features include definable user access, easy programming of delays or timed events and varied themes to accommodate different users and devices.
