Aeropac
A GUARANTEED SUPPLY OF FRESH AIR WITHOUT THE NOISE
AEROPAC is a German manufactured compact mechanical ventilator that provides fresh outside air silently. The air quality is achieved by pulling the external air via a quiet fan mounted in acoustic housing. It operates with low noise & soundproofs to a high standard. Air vents placed at an angle to the wall provide a constant, draught-free flow of fresh air. The air vents can be opened & closed using two sliding control flaps. Fresh air promotes a sense of well-being. A constant exchange of air also prevents excessive moisture in the air, which may lead to the formation of unhealthy mould growth. In addition the unit incorporates an active carbon filter to minimize odours. Whilst carbon filters are not designed to remove particulates, the activated carbon does an excellent job of removing most gaseous pollutants from the air. In particular activated carbon has excellent absorption properties for aromatic hydrocarbons (derivatives of benzene), potential carcinogens found in car exhaust fumes. APPLICATIONS AEROPAC is commonly used to provide filtered fresh air to building occupants in locations where windows need to be closed to avoid noise and unpleasant fumes. This occurs frequently where schools, public buildings and homes are built adjacent to major freeways or roads subject to high density, slow moving traffic. Other applications include proximity of buildings to rubbish pits, sewerage farms, heavy industrial production or even rural activities such as chicken batteries. AEROPAC is not suitable for removal of particulate matter such as mould or spores or low molecular weight gases like carbon dioxide. SILENT OPERATION AEROPAC uses acoustic insulation to reduce the operational noise of the motor. At maximum flow the noise rating is 30 dB (A). INSTALLATION The body of the unit is installed inside the home while an 80mm diameter duct is inserted through the wall with an attractive face grille provided for the exterior. 1. Mark the outside wall opening and fixing points vertically, one above the other, (assembly template is supplied with each ventilation unit). Install close to a convenient power supply, taking care to avoid concealed cables & pipes. Drill the two 8mm wall fixing points. 2. Use a powerful drill with 80mm Æ cutter for the wall opening. 3. Insert the wall plugs and screws so that they protrude approx. 8mm from the wall. 4. Fit The AEROPAC to the wall by locating the keyhole slots in the rear face over the screw heads. 5. Connect to the power supply & the AEROPAC is ready to work. TECHNICAL INFORMATION Air movement 30-135 m ³ /hr Power Consumption 9 watt – Max. 25 watt. Power supply 230/240V AC, 0.18 amp PVC Tube dimensions 80mm x 500mm long Dimensions Height: 405mm Width: 250mm Depth: 115mm Operating Noise Level 20 dB(A) - max flow 30 dB(A) Sound Absorption (Vents Open) Rw - 1.9 = 45 - 47 dB Dn - W = 52 - 54 dB Air Flow Left / right or in both directions. Filter Type Active Carbon Filter FILTER REGENERATION The carbon filter has an anticipated life of about 14-16 months although shorter life spans will occur in heavy use applications. The filter is simple to change and re-fills are readily available. Cost is minimal. Timing for the filter replacement will be apparent when odors commence to be emitted by Aeropac. SPECIFICATION A wall-mounted air ventilator, all housed in thermoplastic enclosure, with active carbon filter and acoustic sound absorption. |
